| reply to nakedland also try your verizon username and password
the unit is reset by pressing and holding the reset button, (found on the back of the unit hidden in a hole with a red circle around it), for ten-15 seconds with the unit powered on.
After resetting, the user/pass will be admin/password
IF the activation screen appears you will have to either go through the account activation again, or disable the redirecting page - 192.168.1.1/verizon/redirect.htm - click disable. -- reboot, reset, reconfigure, then recycle. |

| reply to Bytebender Thanks. Tried both and neither worked.
When you say reset the modem, you mean cycle it (turn off, disconnect and wait a minute or two and then turn back on?) -- The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer. |

@verizon.net | reply to nakedland You can reset the modem and the default password will be.
user : admin password: password.
After that you can set your know password but all the settings you had will be set back to default |

| [ Troubleshooting] VersaLink Wireless Gateway login
I have the Westell Model 327W wireless router I got from Verizon. Going to the Versalink Wireless gateway page, I have tabs for "main, wireless settings, my network, firewall settings, advanced and system monitoring". When trying to access firewall settings and/or under the wireless settings basic security settings or advanced security settings....a box comes up and asks for username and password.
It's been a while since going to this page, about 6 months actually, and username and password that I would use is denied. Is there w way to see if I'm using the proper username and/or password or perhaps a way to reset them both? Thank u -- The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer. |
