thizzle7xu : I've been having TW internet problems for the past year here on the West side of Cleveland. I'm a former Comcast customer (which worked perfectly fine until TW took over last year) and I'm on Turbo now, but like many of you, during peak hours and even other random times, I'll get less than 1Mbps and it's even noticeable just browsing the web. I can't use services like Netflix steaming due to the lack of speed (which only requires a 2.5Mbps speed) and on Xbox Live I consistently have the worst connection in a game, even though I'll be playing with friends that are on TW and live less than 10 miles away, and their connections are fine. After many many calls and visits, they've even admitted that taps on the polls have gone bad on or around my street and still nothing has been done. I've made the decision to switch to Windstream even though the top speed is 3Mbps. At least that will be faster than TW Turbo %50+ of the time. I just wish AT&T was out here, but the only county where they don't have home phone and therefore nothing else is here in Lorain county:(

kendog67 : Im in Akron and the evenings here are really bad anymore. I have RR Turbo and for the last 3-4 weeks i am lucky if i can hit a 1mb d/l speed. Most times i am in the 750-850 kbps range. Its during peak hours in the evening that this occurs.

I had this problem back in Oct. of 2007 thru approx. March. I cannot tell you how many techs they sent out or how many people i talked to at Time Warner. The problem seemed to get better in late spring/summer but now it is back to its old tricks.

Its bad enough my area has this issue. Its another thing that no one, and i mean no one knows anything that i talk to. The incompetence is off the charts they display. I have asked for supervisor call backs, been told they would and nothing happens. I have 0 confidence in them anymore. They have lied and stuttered thru every request i make and never follow through with anything.

AT&T offers a high end of 6mb d/l speed via DSL and i am seriously considering it. RR during offpeak hours is fantastic. But from about 7 p.m. to well after 12 midnight it is nearing dialup speeds at times. I am at my wits end. Its amazing how a company this big can be this out to lunch on every aspect of customer service.

This has been going on for about two months. If I didn't have my house up for sale, I would have gotten rid of TW and got DSL, and a Dish. I did get rid of the phone service, since the Internet can never stay up, the phones are useless...........
