I often wondered how they managed real-world 6Mbps performance given all the overhead of DSL (PPPoE + the network being ATM.)
MaxSyn Profiles
The overhead is still there the downstream sync speed reflects the max attainable sync speed. The real sync speed is somewhere around 7500kbps that would result in throughput speeds of 6500kbps
