| Show 'em by disconnecting your cable TV service Cable TV is the biggest rip-off and time waster. I have better things to do than watch advertising-laden programming which I must pay for the privilege of receiving.
If you must watch TV, watch over-the-air channels, use Netflix, or get your programming off the Internet, oe ven better, seriously cut back on watching TV altogether.
I'd like to see more of those tubular filters installed on
cable TV service drops which only allow cable modems to work
and block TV service. People need to wake up and realize ho much of their life they are wasting by watching TV.
The sooner we Americans realize there are better ways to spend your free time than subscribing to cable TV and to watching TV programming peppered with advertising, the better off we'll be. |

Ah yes.. another Utopian building a better world for everyone else.
Nothing personal, anon user, but "we Americans" are capable of deciding what is best for ourselves. No one here can stand back and tell others what is better for them.
Maybe people enjoy "wasting" their lives... maybe some people have nothing else better to do - that suits them.
Maybe people find that when you compare all the "other things to do" in cost to that of a monthly cable subscription, for them, it's a better bargain.
Maybe some people enjoy watching ad-laden CNN or get a better look at the world by watching National Geographic Channel... wait, tell me, what channel does Nat Geo broadcast in your area again?
Maybe some people would rather NOT watch Netflix movies and find that supporting the movie studio is even MORE of a rip-off than what they get on cable tv. Maybe some people want to see more than make-believe action thrillers or what Beyonce is going to do with Austin Powers next..
I'd like to see more filters on people like you trying to arm chair quarter back other people's lives.. I'd rather see a law that makes people who try to impose their desires on others get tossed in prison and treated horribly..
It's time SOME people wake up and worry about their own lives and let others live. This is a free country where people are able to decide how they spend their time. The sooner you realize that, the better we all are. |
