| Our Contract For those of you denigrating our union workers and the new agreement, I direct you to the treatment Verizon gives to it's management workers. They used to get overtime and free bene's, no more, the more senior managers had their pensions frozen, the less senior had their pensions eliminated. They pay ever increasing amounts for their medical benefits. If you can still be motivated and loyal to your employer after that you must be a sap. When you complain about the service you get remember how the supervisors of all those union workers are treated. Maybe they care whether you get service maybe they don't. Verizon was once a world class telecomm company. Now all they aspire to be is like the competition, namely cable tv. They have actually told us this in a corporate communication. Verizon wants to be cablevision! God help us all. |
