Ender3rd : I have had very good luck with my D-Link DGL-4300 wireless router. Setup was a snap and it has performed perfectly across wired and wireless connections. The gamefuel traffic shaping mode actually works fine and can be configured to give priority to gaming over other tasks on the LAN to ensure steady pings in spite of other activity. Port forwarding works perfectly and with many games it is as simple as selecting the games you wish to use from a dropdown list in the router setup. As with most routers, having static addresses on your LAN will simplify port forwarding. I installed mine back in the summer of 2005 and have not touched it since, it just keeps running.

Ender
--
My Jeep is not an SUV. Your SUV is not a Jeep.

radweg : I read a thread on this from early this year which was very useful, but it's later now, so thought I'd get some fresh advice. May be new models in the mix now. I'm brand new at using internet with my PC, and hunting for the best wired router I can get, without insane expense. Have good cable service. I hope not to have to mess with complicated port issues and such, since I'm hopelessly lost with that stuff. Thanks for any help!
