I used them all of two times and sold them off. They don't have enough depth to bounce the light around and give you a really soft light. Basically it's a million miles off the mark compared to a good Chimera softbox or an Elinchrom Octabank.

Basically to try them and see what I liked better.

I ended up liking the Octabox better. However, after doing price comparisons, I found out an ABR800 with a 56" Moon Unit with 50" Octagon on top turns out to cost 80$ more than if I got a AB800 with a Large Octabox.

So rather than getting 3x AB800, I'd get 2x AB800 and 1x ABR800. Sadly even though the Moon Unit is bigger than a regular Octabox, it is considerably less deep. I could not find anywhere to rent it (only one shop, which rented a Profoto ringflash, but no moon unit, and expansive even to rent!)
