anon : Well, were you switching between like digital and analog channels.. Like on the DVR was it HD and then analog on the other input? I know that there is a delay between the two. Also if one was over the air and one was over the cable there is a noticeable delay as well.

Matt_31 : just in case you havent tried it, are you sure it was live "recording" then if you hit the live button it showed the time difference.

I alot of times set something to record (like sports stuff)and then I will end up joining the game part way through. By the time I skip all the junk stuff I at some point end up live and I will just hit the Live button on the remote and cancel the recording. I dont think I noticed a big delay like that. If any maybe a couple seconds.
--
Intel E6600 2.4, 4gigs Ram, 2 - 150GB Raptor's HD's Raid 200gig Maxtor, Nvidia 8800GTS, Vista Home Premium x64 SP1

gadawg : I was watching the Olympics(gymnastics and swimming) and switched from my DVR to the TV input to compare the video. When I switched back to DVR there was about a 30-45 second difference. Does the DVR delay the picture as compared to the TV input? Maybe Insight delays the video?
