Island Jeff : I couldn't ever go back to just dialup -- can't read the photography sites anymore at all as it takes forever to see the images -- actually would have to give up on most websites I frequent except mostly text forums like this one if I was sent back to dialup. And no more streaming radio. Or video. I remember even back in the 1990s a mozilla browser download took over an hour on dialup here -- big difference from wildblue. I don't see how I'd even keep my OSes up to date over dialup anymore...
--
Very happy TDS DSL user | Wildblue in Lake Michigan

I changed plans and wildblue thought they should hit me with an extra years contract and tried to tap me for a ETF plus 4 months service that I cancelled in may. IF they have your card number they will bill you even after you cancel and are shut off. I changed information on my account before I cancelled just in case and sure enough they are trying to get me for almost 500 bucks for an early term fee and for the months after may that I cancelled. Keep any paperwork and a log of when you did what all the way down to the time you did it so you have something to back them into a corner with.

Best of luck to ya'
