anon : Just thought I'd let folks know to proceed with a bit of caution on this. I called in mid to late August and had my service switched from the Express to Extreme under the guise of this promotion. What the young lady at Rogers didn't tell me is that with the switch I'd lose my Better Choice Bundles discount on the internet service. This loss led to my bill actually increasing $3.00 for the month due to the switch. Free promotion? For me, not quite!

As I hadn't noticed a big difference in speed with the switch, nor do I need the greater d/l-u/l cap, I called in and switched back to Express on receiving my bill. The Rogers representative immediately adjusted the invoice when I explained the situation and that their "free" and my "free" definitions didn't jive.

I will admit it was cleared up to my satisfaction but I still think I should have been saved the aggravation of having to do so by being properly informed of the implications to my billing on calling in to switch to Extreme in the first place.

$3.00 is not a big deal, but guess it's the old "principal" thing..........(Besides which I'm as tight as a rusted nut!)
