Like every large corporation, they are protecting their name and trademark. I highly doubt we will see them in Canada for years to come if ever.

Edit: The site does seem updated, maybe I'm wrong. :)

As for the mic situation, yes, most headsets are notoriously poor quality. I once contacted Sennheiser about a conversion kit for my HD280s to turn them into a headset and they wanted several hundred dollars for it.

I just gave up and got me a great pair of headphones without a mic. Every pair of headphone/mic combos out are terrible. Just awful.

None with mics. Checked EB (swear I bought one there years ago) and I don't even think they had headphones. Checked zellers and they didn't have mics (and were mostly for mp3 players from the lengths of the cords which was weird because it was in the Computer Accessories section or whatever).

Checked out Best Buy and they had a few and the cheapest was like 60 bucks and it didn't even look good. Went to Futureshop for one last check and found only 1 headset and it was 30 bucks and it was awesome. Comfy cushy noise cancelling headphones that ended up being extremely comfortable and a nice long flexible mic. Go walk into a Staples, Future Shop, Best Buy, The Source, maybe even Zellers and Wal-Mart, some local PC stores may even have them.
