Although it will give you an estimate it is typically not extremely accurate. They are tracking the physical distance of your location to the CO not the actual path that the phone line travels since it isn't a straight path from your house to the CO.

Here in Los Angeles, my closest CO is on Vermont Ave (LSANCA12). It is about 1/2 driving mile from my house. However, my CO is one driving mile away in the opposite direction on Gower Street (HLWDCA01).

In my case my CO is twice as far away as the closest one.

That information should be towards the end of the page. And it told me which Co I am on and the address of it. Now Alameda is a whole lot smaller than San Jose so that might make a difference.
