casscarr2002 : I had the technician back out tonight, a different fella than from wednesday and he mentioned yes I needed both modems, 1 for each service.....although Krispy I don't think I have static IP setup so something to confirm for sure :)
It's done and working like a charm, although he messed up the nice job the first contracted cogeco fella did on my electrical board :( but it's working very nice now.
Noticed the issue when my voip was installed and I went from a 216. IP to a 24. IP and thought that wasn't right.
Anyhow we're good now :)
--
Rampage Formula/Xeon Quad X3360 @ 4.14Ghz/GSKill HZ's/8800UltraExtreme 683-2.34Ghz/Coolit Freezone Elite Water/TEC Cooler/TT Armor VA8003BWS w/25cm Intake fan/Antec Quattro 1000

Business Internet Plus Cogeco Home Voip

casscarr2002 : Just wanted to send out an informational note to anyone with business internet contemplating getting home phone. The technician is supposed to ask apparently if you have residential or business internet. If you have business internet you need to make sure he keeps the existing connection hooked up and runs the Voip via another connection. You need both the voip supported modem for home phone and the small business modem for the business internet. I learned this one the hard way, somehow I'm on residential internet now and on the Standard package instead of SOHO 16/1 business, lol, the speed !! I can't handle this snail crawling !! :p They're coming out tomorrow to fix it. Just a heads up folks incase you wanted to do the same.
--
Rampage Formula/Xeon Quad X3360 @ 4.14Ghz/GSKill HZ's/8800UltraExtreme 683-2.34Ghz/Coolit Freezone Elite Water/TEC Cooler/TT Armor VA8003BWS w/25cm Intake fan/Antec Quattro 1000
