Re: Wash your hands

A guy I used to work with back in my tech support purgatory would bring those alcohol pads they use at clinics, and wipe down the keyboard, mouse, phone, headset, the buttons on the monitor, and even part of the desk. He also had a bottle of store-brand purell and kept rubbing his hands with it throughout the day. When he went to the bathroom, he would of course wash his hands, but he'd also use a towel to open the door, throwing the towel away on the way out.
I agree with Shark_615 See Profile, that is overkill. I ain't nobody's mammy or pappy so if they want the sh!t clean, I'll give them the alcohol wipes or something.

As for me, I usually wash my hands after touching people's kb's and mouse, cause I have seen some nasty sh!t. I had to throw away one keyboard of how dirty it was.

And yes, with all the health warnings and news, guys still don't wash their hands after using the bathroom , even after taking a sh!t . I always use my hand-dried towel to open the door. Even though I am told those hand sanitizers do work, I still can't get past the thought that I am putting chemicals on my hands, when using soap and water does the job.

Hate to be the one to break it to you, but "Soap" is a chemical.

People that wash their hands many times a day are more susceptible to infections that those who do not have to (read this carefully).

DON'T USE SOAPS.

Washing with reasonably hot water is sufficient if you have to wash many times per day. Just do a good job and spend a few seconds (~20) rubbing and rinsing.

Did everyone notice the "many times per day"...?

Learn to wash your f'ing hands...correctly!

In my post, I never said I wash my hands, like you put it "many times per day"...?. And yes, I know about spending 20 seconds of rubbing and rinsing. I am also well aware that my hands are not thoroughly clean, thus I use the food wrapping when eating (I usually avoid finger foods).

My response wasn't directed at you specifically...I could have been more clear about that.

You do get my Germ-A-Phobe Seal of Approval™, though. I do the same thing when eating...the world is a Festering Cesspool of Disease.
