K1DEU : When I call Sprint customer support I am first roboticly asked for my Sprint phone number. (see above posts) Next I am automatically placed in Sprint's business support Que. The service rep next asks a few ID questions and away we go. Never mention Millenicom or home use, its just plain worthless to them. We are subscribing to a broadband mobile service, so keep it simple please. Its helps to mention the nearby towers where the throughput is reasonable and everything works properly. Then they aren't going to have us clean up our computer needlessly!
caribconsult : OK, let's say we (MCom customers) call the sprint number you gave above. For those of us with Franklin CDU680 devices, probably the most common amongst MCom subscribers until recently, which 'number' do we give as the phone number? The MDN, or MDID, or something else?

Apparently, the trick is to not give away the fact that you are an MCom subscriber, not a Sprint subscriber. I'd really be interested in hearing input from folks like myself, with the CDU and MCom, who've had to deal with Sprint. After all, it's their towers we are using and many times, bad connectivity is related to tower issues, not your individual setup, although the tech support people would have you believe otherwise. Frequently, the first thing they want you to do is essentially strip your system and re-install everything.
--
Franklin CDU680/Assent MBR400 combo, Andrews T1900 Grid antenna, Millenicom, 4 XPPro stations, Mozilla everywhere.

That excuse to not help me went out the window when I told here I'm normally able to get a signal without an antenna. To further show what lousy support this rep provided...she had told me she documented our conversation and would forward the new information on to advance support. When I called back the following day and referenced my call with this rep, I was told there was no record of my conversation with her.
--
ex Hughesnet customer - thank goodness!
