Not quite true. You can get the local stations, the public/educational/govt channels, several info channels, and the music channels with a QAM tuner. You can also get all the national channels if you lease a cable card and have a TV or STB/DVR that takes cable cards.

And if you use the digital ATSC tuner in the TV, why would you need an antenna switch? All modern TVs have multiple input options. The Verizon STB/DVR connects to the TV via component/HDMI (or S-Video/composite for SD). Connect the antenna to the co-axial connector on the TV and use the ATSC tuner in the TV. Those are for over-the-air broadcasts which uses ATSC.
