Re: Copyright Infringement now spreading to magazines I checked out Mygazines.com and I have to say I think it's quite an innovative spin on an old medium.
If you take their Auto Tour you'll see that all advertising in the magazines is kept intact, thus the site is potentially increasing revenue for the magazine AND users cannot download or print copies of the articles.
Also, it's convenient not only for the user because they don't have to keep physical copies of magazines lying around, but it also helps publishers keep their costs down by not having to actually print and mail as many copies.
Granted, they could probably have a more equitable business model for publishers. Perhaps some kind of tiered pricing system that would depend on how many magazines that a user would like to read on a regular basis, but all-in-all I really think it's a pretty innovative spin on an old medium. |
