if you download the file in AVG it solved the problem but the problem came back once you try to update your avg thru avg software itself. |

Currently the update for AVG Free v8 is corrupted... you will have to wait for AVG Technologies to address the issue with the update.
The updates that your AVG currently have will still provide the protection it is setup to detect. In otherwords, not being able to get this update will not make your AVG Free ineffective and as soon as AVG Tech resolves the issue you will be able to update to the current virus definitions at that time.
The main problem is the AVG update program. So for the meantime if you want your AVG to be updated you need to update it manually and download the update manually. Until the AVG tech resolved this kind of issue |

I think everyone here DID update the software through AVG after downloading the files? Is there another way? No problem for me so far. We'll see what tomoror brings. |

Cool it divajz, doesnt make you a geek knowing the "right" terms. CylonRed is right, the term "directory" was used for many years now and still being used. Just be thankful that people here like Nylaker makes an effort to help others. Accept and LEARN from your mistakes... ignorance is NOT an excuse.  |
