| Re: Avg says .bin missing when updating Well, that's all well and good, but I can't figure out how to make a directory to my desktop???? Think I'll just wait until AVG resolves the problem, unless someone can explain to me how to do it. | |

| Use Windows Explorer and click on the FOLDER button. Highlight Desktop and you should see all of the files/folders in the right pane that are on your desktop.
File --> New --> Folder then it will have you name the folder.
In this case folder = directory. -- Brian

@verizon.net | Re: Avg says .bin missing when updating Well duh!! I kinda thought he meant make a "folder", not a directory! And you can just right click on the desktop to make a folder.

| Re: Avg says .bin missing when updating Really? Well, I'm not a geek, but I've never heard them called directories before; well I've heard of directories but didn't think they were one and the same with folders. When you go to make a new one, it doesn't say new "directory", says new "folder". Don't most people use a windows operating system? | |

I went to college in '93 and in the basic computing classes they were still called directories.
