Prespd join:2004-03-10 Wyoming, MI | Another dumb solution to a non problem This is just another dumb solution to a non problem. I travel around the world alot, and find that one incident can screw the rest of us. I don't blame the daily TSA inspector. They are doing their jobs in following orders on borderline violating your right to privacy. It's the angels in the glass towers I can't stand. I can now fly into Hong Kong, go through a security checkpoint as a foreign national and not even talk to a single person inside the Hong Kong SAR as I travel to the mainland border checkpoint as I enter China. In the US, they setup invasive rules that really aren't doing much to protect you. In China, here they can spot a lighter in my bag full of electronics such as phones, usb drives, cables and power supplies.
Are you really telling me that people NEED to take of their jackets and sweatshirts to the barest layer above underwear? The TSA is terrible at implementing rules. This is just like the dumb ass questions they used to ask you about packing your own bags.
The solution is to randomly change the inspection requirements. Sometimes make people take off their shoes, others take out your laptop and maybe even turn it on. Others, maybe your phone. Random inspections keep people from trying things without having you to do a half strip tease and open bag search. It's demeaning, and one of the biggest reasons I hate flying.
Thanks for reading my rant. |
