WB : Al,

The F-Secure anti-virus/anti-spyware CD that comes with WildBlue is produced in the USA. It is very important that everyone have up-to-date anti-virus software on their computer, because the number of threats out there is constantly increasing.

If a PC gets infected with a virus, malware, worm, etc, it can affect web surfing speeds by using up PC resources, and/or transmitting and receiving unwanted data over the Internet connection. Since this often happens in the background, the user perceives it as their Internet connection being slow, when in fact, it might be due to an infected PC.

Thank you.

alhanson : WB is the F-Secure anti-virus/anti-spyware CD that comes free from Wildblue made in china like most things these days? Kind of like all the “spam” in my spam filters that always starts out with a line like “I am from Wild blue.”
I didn’t trust your links so I Googled F-Secure and watched their video about China. Everything is becoming clear what I am up against since I got the Deli Lama here in Southern Wisconsin. Why my dial up when to hell. Why the dial up IP network administrator said he was blocking the total IP network ranges that came from China and if you want to know why contact him. The dial up service was reduced to 21 kbps and below. So I got Wildblue to get away from it – of course then not knowing what the “it” was. Then some neighbors got Wildblue too and the DNS worm stuff started happening all over again.

I know how to protect your computer on Wildblue against the DNS worm.

Al

WB thanks for the Tip!
