SterlingJ85 : A large part of Woodward's actual population isn't included in census data. Woodward is currently a hotbed of Oil & Gas employees from dozens of energy companies in Texas/Oklahoma/etc. Many of which rent temporary/corporate housing, or hotels (for extended periods) serviced by Suddenlink.
--
-Sterling

anon : The lazy folks in Woodward are just dicking you around. Suddenlink doesn't 'own' anything, they just oversee the local markets and help manage them as a whole. So, if anyone does not want to add anything or correct anything, you need to be thinking of the local management and don't call in unless you want to talk to Tyler support.

Do you know how to interface into your modem? If you do, do so. There should be an upstream and downstream or TX/RX. We'll need those numbers in a bit.

Go to speedtest.net and run a few tests when things suck, they have nifty little links where you can even display the test to us or you can just write down the numbers. When things suck (and tests show it) then interface into your modem and record the power level/TX,RX numbers.

I don't want to come back and read "Well, support said everything looked good" either. :-)

SterlingJ85 : I am now staying in Woodward as part of changing jobs, and moving into the Oil & Gas Business.

I have had one hell of a time trying to get our Internet service up to what it should be.

First I was told my customer service that Woodward doesn't have but 1 speed tier.. Which should be 3 Mbps down.

The problem is, it's only 3 Mbps down when it's off-peak hours. During peak hours, our speeds are down to just above dialup speeds (90-150 Kbps).

The people at the Suddenlink office in Woodward told me they hear nothing but complaints all the time, but that their supervisor in TYLER TEXAS (HUNDREDS of miles away) keeps saying they don't have enough complaints to CHANGE anything.

What kind of business is this?! You need complaints to offer what you're selling?!

Not to mention we don't have real DVR service here, the Woodward office just bought a lot of Standalone TiVos and rents them out to customers. Are you kidding me?

No HD to mention... and, we barely have a digital lineup.. no VOD either, even though our Motorola cable box remotes have the button there.

Suddenlink, come on.. This is rediculous!
--
-Sterling
