Hmmm Anyone know about Spyware Remover

GOTD »www.giveawayoftheday.com/
is giving this away today but I have my doubts (ok strong suspicions) It's this one »www.afnsoft.com/en/index.htm

There are listings for Spyware Remover here:
but the company name is different (Yeah.. I know).

Check out the testimonials while you are there:

Just curious what others think.

If this is the same application as C-NetMedia's Spyware
Remover, a known rogue product (alias Errorkiller), I
would go out of my way to avoid it: »www.siteadvisor.com/sites/spywareremover.com

Note: C-NetMedia is not to be confused with C|Net,
the well known computer/electronics review site.

Probably a roque. No hits at Jotti. When downloaded and installed on a known clean image it immediately began to run without any update or calling home. There does not appear to be a way to update it. It found a tracking cookie for Antivir and two instances of beep.sys which it declared as trojans. I then ask it to remove the Antivir cookie and it displays a pop up to register it. For whatever reason it was not able to call home to complete registration. My guess is it wants money to register but because it did not call home no registration was possible. At this point I am not sure what the pop up was trying to acomplish. Nothing else was loaded but then again it was unable to call home. By the way it breaks my Open DNS updater.
