You have to find a way to force indirect connections (i.e., proxies); which introduces a whole new set of problems.

The best advice is to do nothing that you wouldn't want your mother to catch you doing.

lightweight µTorrent supports proxies as well.

the whole Tor network thing i never understood. they want you
to only use it for tracker connections leaving you to connect directly to peers (revealing your true IP).

Many of the IP's in the various lists don't need blocking, hell my friend had his old IP on one of the lists that stopped his teamspeak from working while PG was running.
