Re: Next up...

So why not just tell people to strip down to their skin, so that they could see if they were sneaking on anything?

One person decides to blow up a plane with explosives in his shoes, one 'plot' that was proven unfeasible, to use liquid explosives, and EVERYONE has to pay?

Come on. If you can't see that it is the administration's way of making you be afraid, than you are blind.

I can, however agree with large pointy things.

Personally, I think it would be interesting to watch the airport gates, if everyone going onto a plane, had to go on in the raw. It sure would be a good reason to have the airlines not charge customers those stupid baggage charges.

At any rate, I'll take surface transport every time.

They're either blind or performing a self cavity search with their head up their ass.

(couldn't resist)

How soon you have forgotten, and you are from NY. Just amazing...

You see... they have you believing in their fear thing. It works a good portion of the time.

Come on... Yeah, I am from NY. I also read the news... ALL the news. I do know that Bush was warned about an attack several times before it happened. The administration KNEW that there was an attack coming, and did NOTHING!

Please provide proof that our gov't knew of this particular attack and then show that they did "nothing". If your proof of nothing, is that the attack happened, that does not suffice.

just go to »www.downingstreetmemo.com/ and you will find all the proof that Bush wanted to attack Iraq, and wanted an excuse for it.

check »tinyurl.com/6gnuxb to see that Bush was, in fact, warned of the oncoming attack. For crying out loud, it's general knowledge, unless your only source of news is Fox.

No, they didn't do nothing, they let it happen on purpose, so that they could drive up the price of oil, and take back Iraq's oil for their corporate contributors. Corporations that were driven out while Hussein was in power. Want proof, just google it, and go to the reliable sources, NOT the US media, but reliable foreign media, because the US mainstream media has been working part and parcel, in cahoots with this administration.

'Nuff Said.

Hey Golfer, what do you eat for breakfast? How do you get to work in the morning?

Since heart disease and traffic accidents are far and away more dangerous to you--and every other American--than terrorism, is there some particular reason you're not screaming to expand the FDA's power to include deciding at-will how much red meat Americans can eat?

There are two reasons, actualy, and they both have to do with fundamental human behavior. One is our poor ability to guage relative risk. The other is our innate desire to have an enemy to hate. These are biological imperatives.

Of course, one of the most important things we can do as a species is use another of our fundamental human attributes--the ability to reason--to override our instincts.

So, the next time sitting around having a couple beers with your buddies, talking about America and filled with emotion and a sense of unity over sharing a common enemy, think about this: You're never going to meet a terrorist, but that gut of yours is going to kill you.

By that same rationale - we should just dismantle our armed forces, since I am more likely to die from eating red meat than a bomb dropped on my head from another nation.

I am not sure what your argument is here? Lets not even worry about security checks at airports??? Do you think this is what most Americans want? If you do, you are sadly lost in this DSLR world. Wow - you are drinking some of the kool-aid.
