Re: Gigaset SE567 Wireless Problem

Isn't Routed Bridge a bad thing to do if you are hosting things like servers or need port forwarding though? Or is that to an advantage? I've honestly never routed bridged my Westell 6100 modem Verizon provided me.
Never heard of it so I'd say it is not a factor. There is Bridge Mode or Router Mode, and there is the Default Bridge-Router Mode since there are two devices in the case. One being the ADSL Modem and the other being a E2E Router. If you reset a Siemens/SpeedStream Gigaset SE567 unit and leave the Router part unconfigured, then it acts as a DSL Bridge Modem only. I don't think Westell offers that as it seems to be a SpeedStream / Efficient / Siemens / Gigaset feature.

Might be. Out of the box, and on hard resets (holding the reset button until it reboots twice) it will turn on the Westell's built in DHCP server and router, and will then ask me to set up a connection for the DSL to connect when I log into it. If I wanted to bridge my Westell, I'd need to shut off VC mode first by moving it to bridge, and then I'd need to shut off the modem's DHCP and routing abilities so that I don't route bridge.
