Ameritech used it in a number of their markets for cableTV. Until they sold it off to WOW when they merged with SBC. If they were smart they should have kept it and just upgraded the system. They would have had no problem in some areas rebuilding out since the system was already city wide. Another stupid mistake of SBC.

SNET in Connecticut also built out a HFC plant parallel to its POTS plant. SBC terminated/abandoned the service when they bought SNET and the HFC plant reminents rot on the poles to this day.

DrStrange Technically feasible Premium join:2001-07-23 West Hartford, CT	I have fond memories of SNET PersonalVision. It was far and away the best cable service we've had to this day.

In Columbus they had Americast what did Ed do with it? He sold it to WOW then deicded several years later he wanted to be in the TV business again. WTF!? why sell something when you're going to rebuild it again? But then again thats ATT for ya.
