Anyone know how to avoid this virus or where it comes from?

And I did most of that, but it didn't detect the files.

Well I did a manual find of the viruses, and I found all the files in the regedit file. The question is can I go and delete all those files in the regedit or will that screw up my system?
Follow amysheehan See Profile's advice above before you go deleting anything from the registry.

Could anybody give me a good antispyware removel program that is free and detects and removes all of the antivirus 2009 bug. I ran spyhunter on my pc and it detected all the trojans and adware. The problem is that I need to register it and wanted to know is there a program out there that is free and still kills all the antivirus program?

BTW I have 2 viruses called zlob trojan and trojan.zapchast and rogue.antivirus 2009 cause now I have all these links to porn sites.
You should begin with the steps outlined here for Cleanup
»Security Cleanup FAQ »Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance and follow up as necessary in the Security Cleanup Forum if you need further assistance.

That works too. Just agreeing with what I had used the other day to remove it.

using superantispyware then malwarebytes will generally get it , used to be superantispyware would do it but the newer infections seem to be worse having extra stuff with it.

lotusracer is right, I used this to clean up a co worker's machine. Worked great ! spybot(which I love) did not find anything on this one.

Just did a scan of SUPERantispyware and all it found was just adware and not the trojans that were suppose to be detected.

Boy, that Antivirus 2009 is a real problem, I know several people who have found it on their system and I see references to it all over the web.

This program is free and has been recommended in this forum:

I do know people who have cleaned their machines using it.
FWIW: just talked with Starbuck, member of my Malware Removal Team. He told me he cleaned with help of MBAM the PC of a customer that was hit by Antivirus 2009.
