Thus, if a power outage happens, the alarm's backup has enough juice to analog-dial for help. If the power went out, there might be several boxes that require battery backup to ensure the IP network remains running (router/switch, Network adapter, etc.).
So the rule of KISS may be coming into play. Simple analog lines may be more reliable than IP. Catastrophes not included. |
