| The non-resort chains are starting to offer free wireless-g (Hampton Inn/Hampton Suites offers free wireless-g chainwide) or, at least, if not free, low-cost wireless-g or wired Internet (for casino hotels in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and elsewhere, offerings differ from hotel to hotel and are usually detailed on the hotel's Web site). This sort of idea started with *business-traveler* hotel chains (Marriott Hotels, for example, prior to their spinoff, had low-cost wired Internet in their suites back as early as 1997); now, it's dropped down as far as Holiday Inn and Super 8! |
