Re: BEFSR41 ver. 2 and 12mb DSL Question

Good to see I'm not the only one still using this venerable diehard of a router.
I just changed out my ActionTech (FiOS) and went back to "Ole Blue".
With AT, was getting 10/1.8---with Ole Blue getting 5.75/1.6.
And I'm sticking with my Linksys for a few reasons:
1) Configurability. Saying the AT was a pain in the ass to configure may be the grossest understatement I'll ever make.
2) Latency. Typical latency to speedtest.net with the AT was 125-150ms to the recommended server. With Ole Blue, down to 100ms.
3) Other than latency, the speed (throughput) difference is not that important to me. And the LAN throughput on Ole Blue rocks.
Just for kicks, I tried the MTU suggestion. Lowered my throughput, so it's back to 1500.

edit: Anyone here know why switching the IP from 192.168.x.x to 10.10.x.x would make a difference? Would it depend on the revision of BEFSR41 that you have?
