I had that issue too and resolved it before switching to Avast.<br><br>Not having AVG anymore, I am unable to determine if this is the correct procedure:<br><br>Try/check this:<br>1. Launch AVG free Control Center<br>2. Highlight Update Manager and select Properties at the bottom<br>3. Make sure the Properties tab is the one you are looking at (not the General tab)<br>4. Remove the circle from "update upon next computer restart" by putting a circle in the choice below this "update immediately" and If computer restart is required (sometimes it is) select "require confirmation from the user". ]]></description>
