| Thinking about a Mac
I'm think about building a computer and installing MAC OS X. I have never built a Mac and wanted to know if there is specific hardware (hard drive, motherboard etc) that I need to include or be aware of. Or is the only difference between a Mac and Widows computer the OS? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

| reply to Freecansee Not a good idea. It can be done. But by the time you're done investing in componants that may or may not work, and aggrevating yourself over the software nightmares, you're better off just buying an iMac. Just because the Macs run on Intel now doesn't mean everything else will work. Plus it's illegal. You'll get no support from Apple. If you try I'm sure Jobs will be on you like a fly on shit. |

| reply to Freecansee If you are doing it just for fun, cverfugee gave you a good link to start with.
Otherwise, as others suggested, be prepared to fight an uphill battle.
