Yes, I've got all kinds of problems on 99W. Problems seemed to start Wednesday afternoon. Instant messengers disconnect and reconnect every few minutes. Remote desktop desktop sessions disconnect after a minute or less (if I can get connected). VPN connection lasts a bit longer but is lucky to stay connected for 15 minutes.

Normal basic browsing works okay. Although SSL sites don't seem to work well.

I've not bothered to call tech support. In the past when I've tried to call, they say if you can browse, they don't seem to think there is any problem and if you are having problems with instant messenger's (or whatever) then you need to contact that software's tech support. Ya right.

Got off with tech support chat and this help keep my messengers online sounds like too good to be true but it did work for me.

: 1. Click on the "TOOLS" menu from the top menu bar.

2. Select 'Internet options'.

3. Click on 'Connections' tab on the top.

4. Click on 'LAN Settings' at the bottom right corner.

5. Uncheck the option 'Automatically detect settings'.

6. Check the option 'Use a proxy server for your LAN'.

7. Click on the 'Advanced' button.
Gina(Aug 21 2008 11:16:10 PM): 8. Type 192.168.0.1 in the http textbox, Port 87.

9. Type 69.19.14.10 in the secure textbox, Port 3128.

10. Make sure there are no other numbers in any of the textboxes below.

11. Type 192.168.0.1 (and 192.168.1.1 for you linksys people) in the 'Exceptions' textbox.

12. Click on the 'Ok' button.

13. Click on the 'Ok' button to close Internet options.

14. Restart "Internet explorer".

Yup, something is going on. Been hell the last 2 or 3 days.
FTP is a lost cause and email is cranky. Their speed test shows I have no upload, zip, zero. hfmon kind of agrees. Speedtest shows ok. I guess I just have to wait it out.

On 127W I've had this same issue for several months. It comes and goes, and seems to be related to specific websites, especially ones that are "slow" to respond.

I've also had a lot of Web Acceleration failure, mostly from Yahoo. Fails one click, works the next.

back again and messengers run smooth for a week and now yesterday it started again but this time only once awhile.

Now today I was trying to upload about 30MB file on my FTP and it only goes to like 1MB and failed. I have to keep hitting resume on each mb. really annoying!

Hughesnet is a Epic Fail!
