1 edit | reply to Kringle A few more. And, to why I won't be doing any more of this kind of thread for a bit: I am having a hip replacement and I won't be able to sit at the computer. I will miss you guys but not my hip! |

| reply to Kringle Once more I'm amazed by the artistic and technical abilities that are being displayed here. Just a few random shots and, boom, a flurry of art springs forth yet again.
The venerable Artify and its participants never cease to astonish... |

EDIT: Thanks to DownTheShore for prompting me to do this:
1) Tone mapped the image using Qtpfsgui HDR software (Linux) and saved as .jpg 2) Used tone mapped image as background in PaintShop Pro (Windows) 3) Pasted original image as a second layer with a ~45% Soft Light overlay 4) Duplicated Background layer and moved it to the top layer 5) Applied "Black Pencil" effect to top layer 6) Soft Light transparency on top layer (pencil) 7) Flatten, resize, a touch of Unsharp Mask, border and save.

 From the entire staff |
Dunno what happened. Camera got jammed and I accidentally opened the back. Took the film into a dark room and hoped for the best. Processed the image using a sentimental filter, re-exposed using a warming filter. Looked at the image in the fixer and got the idea someone would be missed around here... |
