tyrius join:2006-08-28 Bothell, WA	reply to turbo63 Re: FIOS TV Live Tomorrow in Lynnwood WA (99 hd stations) Here's what my installer did: •Disconnected the coax at the corner of my house from the comcast feed •Connected the now dangling coax to the ONT •Connected the AT into my coax network via the 8-way splitter in my structured wiring box •Tested the signal strength at the wall jacks for both of my TVs that were being "activated" •Installed the HM-DVR and HD STB •Activated the TV service and the two boxes •Gave me a quick how-to on the boxes We actually had some trouble because the home runs from the 8-way splitter to the two separate rooms both failed the signal strength tests. He was able to get the tests to pass when he tested from the two connectors on the 8-way, so there's something fishy about those home runs... mind you, the house is less than 3 yrs old. Oh yeah, I almost forgot: when he activated the boxes he used a software on a USB drive that automatically updated the firmware on the router (if it isn't the latest) and changed some settings on the router as well. All-in-all I expected about two hours for the install, instead it took close to 4 (thanks to those failed tests).

It is by far the best picture compared to comcast which I just disconnected. There is no comparison. I counted 98 HD channels available on the Premier Plan which I have. HD box w/DRV is easy to do and I really like the menu. Installation was a breeze and they provided all the component cables. Can't beat that because those cable cost $$$$. I also have the 20/5 package w/ wireless router. I got true speeds as well on speakeasy speed test. I called 888-godigital (888-463-4448) and they said that the 3 free digital adapters weren't available in WA state. I tried my local Verizon Plus store today (Lynnwood) and they had no clue what I was talking about. I called godigital again today and they said the same thing, they can only handle east coast accounts.
