Re: [IA] DTV

Unfortunately I can't switch since I live in an apartment, but my parents recently switched to DirecTV and their HD offerings are absolutely unbeatable.

Anyone in the DSM area dump Mediacom for Direct TV lately? I think I'm ready... Mostly interested in HD, DVRs and premium channels.

Might keep cable for internet only.

Anyone make the move from Mediacom to Direct TV (or DTV for Mediacom, for that matter), please let me know your experience...
I ditched Mediacom for D* about 6 months ago and it was the best decision I've made in a long time. I have so much HD content now I can't find time to watch it all. I have the HD DVR HR-21 and love it. No probs whatsoever. I had a local installer set me up and it was a fanastic experience. I'm also enjoying the Extra Innings package this summer. I'll never go back to cable.

I dropped Mediacom for DISH. Glad I did. Will never go back. Granted I don't have ABC WOI Channel 5 but that doesn't affect me so I could care less.
