The stats give some info:
ADSL Startup Attempts: 26= constant loss of sync
SNR Margin: 13.50 14.00 dB= double digits is good
Line Attenuation: 53.00= loop to long for pro package
Data Rate: 2496 512= the sync rates should be 3008/512

With the netopia log I think the message "RFC1483-1 up" means the modem has sync and it has found the pvc other than that I see no useful info in the log.

One other thing you should do is connect the modem at the nid, if the stats are better there that's a good thing you may be able to improve the connection.
If the stats are not better at the nid I think your only remedy is to downgrade your speed package.

thanks for the help.
I'll try the NIC sometime today, and just wondering, if the connection is strong there that means the house's wiring needs worked on?

That's true but the line attenuation is 53.00 which suggests that your loop may be too long for pro speeds, and I don't think that number will change much if at all at the nid.

Did you start with pro or did you start with a slower speed then upgrade to pro?

ummm I THINK we've been on this speed the whole time.

You can see your last six months of billing info and the speed package you have at the at&t yahoo portal page.
There is a >>> member center link >>> view billing statement link.
