7Zip is open source. Check sourceforge. org. Been using it for 10 years, it even takes care of unzipping rars. |

With all the file formats izarc is the best unzipper but with compression you can't go wrong with good ole 7zip.
So for a all rounder not using compression Izarc wins hands
down for a freebie.

another iZarc vote from me. Have never used 7-Zip, but was wondering if it can make self extracting Zip files?
Also, what about the built in one for XP? Is that not available in the Home edition?

I would strongly recommend 7Zip. Ive tried WinZip and WinRAR in the past, and 7Zip is WAY better than both. |
