i am not for sure if he was talking about WotLK or not.... |

thrillhaus Premium join:2003-12-26 Tucson, AZ clubs: | Ah. Well, when patch 2.0 came out, it basically was just releasing the new talents and some other prep work for BC. Then BC came out shortly after.
Patch 3.0 will presumably be the same thing. |

It did many things to start the transition to TBC(for example, Karazhan as we know it appeared.) Additionally it changed the PVP reward system, making it very easy to obtain Rank 14 gear.
Most importantly, it made everyone realize TBC was right around the corner. |

1 edit | reply to Don69Fire 1.8 was the first patch leading to BC and possibly the worst patch ever released. It changed AV into it now vanilla bullshit BG. It also started the changes of the Honor system. No patch fucked up the game worse than that one and, hopefully, we won't have to deal with that again. -- "And guess what this liberal would be all about. This liberal will be about socializing
uh, um.
would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies.

| reply to Don69Fire Tanks haven't gotten their core abilities on live yet, but they're up on internal beta. So do most of the other classes. Go figure.
2.01 went live 4.5 weeks live before TBC was released. Figure that most of the core 1.5-9x patches were complete class rebalances and rebuilds all the way there can't be any real way to for sure say when it'll be launched but call it my gut feeling it won't be too long. |

| I remember the 2.0 release with the new talent trees. I was playing my shaman and EVERYTHING changed. I went into AV and saw the felguard and was like WTF is THAT? Then there was a druid and he ACTUALLY did damage to me instead of roots and run. It was a helluva day. All in all, 2.0 was a double edged blade. On one hand, I got dw and some kick ass talents, but I also had to get used to all my enemies getting kick ass talents. You have to rethink all of your me vs. that class strategies. |

quote: With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade's release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.
We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:
New class spells and talents Stormwind Harbor Barbershops in capital cities Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades Two brand-new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles Guild calendar Hunter pet skill revamp New profession: Inscription
As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. Well post the full patch notes as soon as theyre available. Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.

tho its going to be hard for some classes to really benefit with a 51 pointer because of limitations of a lvl 70 point allocation
i know for boomkin you lose the ability to 51 point and gain the regen tallent in the resto tree. if you spec the 51 pointer with all the new instants you will be OOM so freaking fast without the spirit change and 10 extra lvls
sigh -- www.stopfcc.comI do not think the government needs to restrict free speech especially on a device that has an off knob. |
