| [Connectivity] More connectivity issues
All over the internet I read about people with various providers and various hardware have intermittent issues with the following logs:
3-Critical T001.0 SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing 2008-08-16 19:35:38 3-Critical R004.0 Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance o 2008-08-16 19:35:38 3-Critical T001.0 SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing 2008-08-11 17:41:23 3-Critical R003.0 Init RANGING Critical Ranging Request Retries exhausted 2008-08-11 17:41:23 3-Critical R002.0 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out 2008-08-11 17:39:35 3-Critical R003.0 Init RANGING Critical Ranging Request Retries exhausted 2008-08-11 17:39:35 3-Critical R002.0 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out 2008-08-11 17:37:50 3-Critical R003.0 Init RANGING Critical Ranging Request Retries exhausted 2008-08-11 17:37:50 3-Critical R002.0 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out 2008-08-11 17:35:56 3-Critical R003.0 Init RANGING Critical Ranging Request Retries exhausted 2008-08-11 17:35:56 3-Critical R002.0 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out 2008-08-11 17:34:19 3-Critical R003.0 Init RANGING Critical Ranging Request Retries exhausted 2008-08-11 17:34:19 3-Critical R002.0 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out
I have yet to see an explanation though. I have Insight cable (but my email is insight.rr.com?). I have my laptop and my PS3 that uses wireless and a printer that is wired to a Linksys WRT110. That WRT is wired to the cable company's Motorola Surfboard modem.
I am using NAT. The cable modem's IP is the standard 192.168.100.1 but passes through my public IP to my WRT110 and has DHCP enabled (can't turn it off). My WRT uses 192.168.3.1 (255.255.255.240) with a DHCP scope of .3-.8. I left some for static IPs.
What's going on? |

1 edit | The only thing on the troubleshooting list that I did not mention that applies to my situation is that there are twoe cable company installed splitters where the coax comes in the house. One splits the 1 connection coming in to 2 and the other splits the signal to all the jacks in the house.
Oh, and the signal information:
Downstream Value Frequency 561000000 Hz Signal To Noise Ratio 37.1 dB Power Level -5.4 dBmV
Upstream Value Channel ID 7 Frequency 23600000 Hz Power 54.5 dBmV |
