 Verizon DSL Pricing change |
In the attached picture, I have highlighted things I saw today on the Verizon website. 6 months worth of FREE DSL and the dry-loop now costs just as much as with the phone now? I'm wondering why this suddenly happened, but that's a good deal in my opinion! Just wanted to see who noticed this at all. |

@verizon.net | reply to Smith6612 Are these prices only with NEW signups?
I recently changed to dry-loop and they quoted me a price of $41. |

@verizon.net | ^ thanks!
I thought the CSR might have been "confused" and quoting me the wrong price...
Seems like for a few dollars more I can get FIOS... tempting.... |

| reply to Smith6612 I ordered my Dry Loop on 8/20.
I called yesterday (8/26) to confirm my SRD and they spoke to me about this offer. At first, I didn't understand why they were giving me free internet but eventually I just agreed because I didn't see anything wrong with it. One caveat though, for existing orders, changing your order in any way automatically pushes your service ready date back. I was able to get mine back to it's original date, but it took some kicking and screaming and plenty of hours on the phone. |

IMO, the word "plan" means that you need to have something like "Verizon Essentials", etc... and not just basic phone service.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks. |

I did.
The best they can offer is 5 months free, then $31.99/month (1 year commitment).
In the past, Verizon has always been able to offer the new subscriber rate to existing customers (i.e.: Save the Sale).
Perhaps there is a change in the wind?
Thanks. |
