Filipino/Asian Community? (Moving to Atlanta for Job)

Hi,

We are Filipino parents in our 30's with 4yr old and newborn.
Were currently living in Virginia Beach,
but my IT job will be moving to nearby Perimeter Mall in Atlanta.
Wife will be dental hygienist out of school soon.

Where's the best place for a single family house in the 300K range within 30min work commute?
What areas to avoid (crime, traffic, etc)?

Where are the good asian restaurants and groceries?

Any Filipino-specific business or areas (church, restaurants, organizations, etc)?
Can you name a few? I'll look up names and map it out myself.

Thanks much!

I moved to Atl in june. I'm renting for now looking to buy within the next year or so.

I also work right near the perimeter mall, right across the highway

300k should be good for a nice house outside the perimeter, inside the prices go up dramatically!

I'm living in Norcross for the time being and nearby Doraville has a pretty strong Asian feel. I think it is more Chinese and Korean though, can't say I've seen too many filipino stores/restaurants.

Hopefully some of the more seasoned locals can give you more info and welcome to ATL.

Here's a good resource, with links to groceries and other venues, as well as a lot of information.
