Phase II of Channels

I received word today that Hampton Roads/Richmond should be in line for the second phase rollout (presumably to catch up to NY, NNJ, MA, and RI) the last week of October. I don't know if they will be going in the same order as the initial rollout or if everybody will be done at that time.

Initially I had been told the first week of October, so I would expect this date to probably be pushed back.

And based on what MA and RI got last week - looks like everyone's "Phase 2" will be different as well!

One thing that's interesting about that - as someone pointed out on another thread, some of the PDFs have been updated. Bring up the ones for MA or RI, and count the HD channels listed. I did that for MA and came up with 99 HD channels (assuming my counting was right). I have a feeling that the second phase of channels will be coming in pretty short order. I guess this is one of the 'advantages' of being one of the later markets - you're going to start out with more HD channels than the prior markets - except for NY and NNJ. I'm betting that SE PA will start out with darn close to 90 total HD channels when we get converted over the next couple weeks.

Yeah, I understand that. However, given how many channels you guys DID get on the initial roll-out, I take that PDF as a darn good sign that Verizon is starting to get pretty aggressive about getting all markets up to NYC's line-up.

I understand what you mean as well, but with 14 channels missing from the giude that says "Effective August 2008" we are missing 14 of the channels on that list therefore we (MA) are not up to what NY got and they (Verizon) are not being agressive in getting us (MA) up to that standard.
Giving the devil (Verizon) its due, there are a few days left in the month.

And that's still more than what OR and IN got last month I wouldn't expect the rest to happen for you before the end of this month but then I like to be pessimistic when it comes to Vz

(There are two HD channels in our PDF that we haven't gotten yet either. *shrug*)

Pittsburgh got the same "basic" update. Seems like everyone else got at least most of the HD channels

You people with at least some new additional HD channels crack me up! Those of us still waiting (here in Southern California where we still have the analogs and a rumored October 10th date for the HD additions) are just hoping they don't take USA HD and CNBC HD+ off (they were added for the Olympics).

You will love this then, before the realignment we got Travel HD. It shows up in the new lineup as channel 670 but its not there so they ripped us off a channel.

Let me tell you, staring this gift horse in the mouth is irksome indeed. It's like watching paint dry.
