[iPhone] Apps not working??

this is a known (bad) bug in the current OS. They are apparently working on a solution for the next version.

I am on the most current version and I was aware of the BUG but they were working as of Sunday, and broke as of Monday?

I had the same problem over the weekend with 3rd party apps not working at all. I tried restarting the phone, redownloading the apps and that didn't work so I just reset the whole phone and started from scratch and the apps are working good right now.

I had the same issue and at least part of my problem was having two accounts with the iTunes store. I had Apple cancel one and kept the other. I then had to do a complete delete and reinstall of all my apps. Apple refunded me for the apps I had purchased on the other account.

It was a pain but my iPhone is working now with minimal crashes.

One other thing to look out for, updating apps wirelessly from the iPhone! If your connection is lost and the update gets hosed you will brick your phone. I also had this happen last week.

I only have 1 iTunes account and I get my apps on the pc and sync them to the phone.

just a pain to have to redo stuff because of bad software, but as a windows user I am somewhat used to it

I am having the same problem .... Restated, reloaded, re-everything and still happening ... I'm going back to my windows mobile .

i had this happen yesterday for the first time. all apps except the iphone native apps.

i fixed it, here is how:

deleted ALL third party apps on the phone
soft reset
resync with itunes. you will see all the apps 'reinstall'
they work now.

Happened to me as well. I've read reports online that some people have luck with just restarted their iPhones (as I did), or reinstalling the iPhone OS via iTunes "Restore" button. Though I've also heard that there are some people who can't get any of the apps to work at all. Even after multiple restores.

Got a 3G iphone yesterday and had this exact same problem. Resetting the iphone as Tcub mentioned worked for me. Thanks!

Download the Apps in iTunes after deleting them off the iPhone and in iTunes.
Sync up.
Your good to go.

Odd deal, this one.

The three 3G phones and the original phone are all associated with the same Mac Pro. They have the same apps, and are up-to-date on the OS.

Two updated all apps OK, two of the 3G's were useless even after soft reset.

Complete restore allowed the native apps to work, but not the third party.

ok none of these things work for me... restarted over 4 times. soft reset. restart. nothing works. any ideas? btw if i go into an at&t store, will they do anything for me?

Are you syncing the iPhone on a Mac?

I am asking simply because none of the four units here will currently sync using iTunes on a Windows box...

As stated, all will sync on the Mac, two correctly, and two to factory app status.

I spent quite a while messing around with these...
