1 edit | reply to anonn Re: [iPhone] Apps not working??
The AT&T store will be less helpful than calling Apple, IMO.
AT&T only provides the connection, it does not deal with the "guts" of the phone or the OS, for want of a better way of putting it. -- "Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crispy and good with catsup." |

| reply to BBR_InsUW I have had several crashes and holding the off/on and home button for around 6 seconds usually resets it, although occasionally I have gotten stuck looking at the Mac apple for 15 minutes. It's been strongly suggested to download apps only in Itunes and not directly on the phone. The other suggestion is to remove some of the apps you don't need. LastFM, VisualRadio and Mobile Pod seem to be some of the apps that are causing problems(phone crashes while in use). |

| The problem with doing this is that you lose any data stored in the apps you are deleting.
My iPHone is completely jacked up, every time I hook it up to my computer it asks if I want to restore it from the last backup. The phone itself works just fine, I just cannot sync it. |

@inet.fi | I had the same crashing problem. Just downloaded iTunes 8 and everything came back to normal ie. all apps work!
Thanks for the update!!! |

2 edits | Updating to iTunes 8 on the Mac appears to resolve the problem... the phones sync fine with all the apps, at least in my case.
Edit: Just finished the iTunes updates on both Vista and XPP boxes. Both work OK- no BSOD, no failure to finish the sync with the apps all there. -- "Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crispy and good with catsup." |

Hopefully the new software update due out on Friday will resolve it. Again, iTunes 8 does not resolve this issue. I experienced this issue yesterday.
I also hope the new software update speeds up the application installation process. |

| My backups are still slower than I would like, but I am not having the app problems that I did, and the sync process is completing.
Not sure why the difference, but the phones that I have been messing around with are all synced and seem to work appropriately. -- "Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crispy and good with catsup." |
