The only thing that will happen to your dish is after a month or two you will not be able to order PPV. They detect it's not dialing in so they send a signal to your receivers to disable PPV. The guide is downloaded from the satellite but it has no way to upload data (PPV purchases and ?maybe private viewing data?)

Are you sure about this, I will check with Dish but how do you know it will work this way. Just want to be sure I have all the information before I go ahead.
