[modem/router] In Need Of Easily Bridgeable Modem

My Westell 327W went bad and I need to purchase a new modem. Can anyone recommend a Verizon compatible modem that is easily Bridgeable?

Thanks!

Any DSL modem should work. If you want to, pick yourself up a dumb modem that can do ADSL2+ and that should suit you the best.

Re: [modem/router] In Need Of Easily Bridgeable Modem

I am in a similar situation with a friend, and looking for a modem that will work with Verizon.

What does the 2 and the + sign mean in regards to the modem???

·Dish Network
·Verizon Online DSL
·FrontierNet Intern..

The "2+" just shows what revision of ADSL it is. ADSL2 and ADSL2+ because of the way the revisions work, allow you to get higher speeds over a longer or noisier line, and adds more speed support to ADSL (like I believe ADSL2+ can reach 40Mbps download, and about 4Mbps upload rather than ADSL which can only do 8 Mbps down, 768kbps up).

You say "in need of an easily bridgeable modem", suggesting that you intend to bridge the modem, probably because you already have your own router -
so why not look for a plain modem, one that is a bridge already. The Westell 6110 is a plain bridge, there are others.

Bytebender:
Thanks for the model suggestion. I was hoping the OP would have gotten more model suggestions. I ask Mr. Google on the ADSL2+ modem and I was getting wireless modem/routers. That is kinda why I ask for a clarification on what the 2+ meant.

Any more model suggestions from anyone would be appreciated.

Thanks,
