Don't you just need to pick up a foreign sim? Assuming of course your phone supports the international frequencies.

The biggest issue with that (especially if you are using it for business) is that you then dont get to use your US phone number. Almost all cheap international prepaid SIM's only support voice anyway (certainly not 3G), so its kind of pointless.
