dont worry the fact mace spec is no longer unlimited stun means if it goes live as that with the 3.0 patch you will feel a disturbance in the force as 10,000 rogues cry out in agony. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |

2 edits | reply to Forlin Good, I think the combat spec is pretty boring, and maces proc far too much. It's like there's no correlation between the 5% chance to proc and the actual number of stuns they produce. Rogues aren't supposed to use hammers anyway.. not rogue-like at all. We're supposed to be sneaky barstewards and whacking someone over the head with a hammer isn't exactly subtle.
I reckon shs is the funnest rogue spec and mutilation a great alternative if you're more into pve. hemo / shs with sparkly swords ftw. |

| reply to Forlin rogues are just a plain silly class, suppose to be sneaky and they have some of the most flashy weapons in the game. however since stealth doesn't work like Splintercell i guess it doesn't matter. would be pretty funny if rogues had to do true sneaking like Solid Snake or Sam Fisher though. -- [65 Arcanist]Filan(High Elf) Zone: Broadband Reports |

Its not that big of a deal. The only reason to be mace spec for a rogue at this point is what? An ar/prep hold out I suppose. Otherwise you're going to be shadowstep which means you can't put 25 points into combat.
That's why it's only minorly annoying that mace spec is being replaced by something that's 100% useless and no rogue should ever spec it. |

| reply to saillaw said by saillaw :I've never played a Rogue past lvl 6. But I don't find them to be overpowered in PVP. Maybe it feels that way for some classes, but for others they are pretty easy to controll (at least one on one). My hunter eats rogues for breakfast one on one. My Pally and Druid do ok against them. From what I've seen it also looks like warriors have no problem with rogues. That being said, if two rogues team up and ambush me at the same time, its virtually impossible to do anything before I'm dead. man, you made my day when you said your hunter eats rogues lol. please do yourself a BIG favor, and ask on general to duel a rogue who is in 2000+ bracet and come back here and tell us who eats who then?
My hunter 4/5 s4 gear - eats only noob rogues or the one who are not pvp spec'ed . If a rogue knows what to do, I am dead and there is nothing i can do (as a class) - simple like that. |

| reply to Forlin Yep it's called stunlock and hunters don't have the armour to outlast it, even if you trinket. Only plate wearers, disc priests and trees can outlast a full set of rogue stuns, and only if they know their stuff.
I have a hunter that I got reasonable ratings with in the seasons 1-3. I never found an answer to a rogue that knew his stuff except to hope that my healer wouldn't get CC'd. |

It's funny how many people talk about classes that OP and bitch about them then finish with "I just PvP randomly". (This is not specifically at you kywirelessgu). It just seems that the only people who should be talking smack about classes in PvP are those that PvP almost exclusively or at least are able to reach the upper ranks of Arena.
Being an occasional BG PvPer is like someone who runs heroics talking about Raiding. -- I'd take the time to insult your intelligence, but you probably wouldn't get it. |

Their armor lasts and lasts, and warriors especially love your squishy leather if you aren't burning evasion/GS. There are rogue strats availiable, but it isn't a fight that rogues are looking forward to. |

1 edit | I definatly don't thinks rogues are OP. Or resto druids for that matter. My pvp only toon is a resto shammy though, between earth shock, frost shock, and purge they don't last long if I have some dps with me. Rogues can't solo me either, just pop earth shield and drop a stoneskin totem. They usually get bored and leave before I run out of mana.
I don't really think any classes are OP, its just a matter of what classes have the best chances of killing them.
But as BM if my CD's are up (bestial wrath/rapid fire) there's not many classes that are going to withstand it one on one. Maybe a pally, because of their bubble. Good pvp'ers are usually smart enough to run away until bestial runs out though. Thats why I stick to BG's, I can stand at the back of a group and go apeshit. Hunters aren't good in arena right now, any spec. |

| reply to Forlin Hunters are ok in arena as long as you have the right class or classes with you. Trees / hunters, disc priests / hunters or even double dps with a rogue can work in 2v2. You might not get 1800-2200 ratings, but you'll have a shot at 1600-1800 if you're good.
The best combo for a hunter is 2v2 with a tree imo. You have a decent shot at getting the bow. No guarantees of course, it's still going to be tough. |

| reply to Forlin 1600-1800 isn't what I would consider a non-shitty player. Decent players are in the 1800-2000 area and your good players are 2000+.
1600-1800 is the range for people who have the pvp gear but not the skill or the skill but not the gear. -- I'd take the time to insult your intelligence, but you probably wouldn't get it. |

1 edit | reply to Forlin Not really. Hunters are not going to get above that rating ever unless they're extremely good or have an ideal team.
1600-1800 for a hunter without a resto druid or disc priest is an incredible achievement.
Blizzard's own stats show that the numbers of hunters with 1800 or above ratings are well below what they expected.
Just because a few ideal classes have no challenge to getting 1800-2000 ratings when teamed together, doesn't make every class not suited to arena crap if they can't get that high. |
